Official 1.1 km long Nude Bathing Beach. Wild and natural, backed by sand dunes and a little green belt of shade and hills. Large breaking waves when the east wind blows near the sandy shoreline. Popular with windsurfers when the wind blows. Rolling dunes and a very broad sandy beach are perfect for beach strolls. Throughout the summer months, these sandy dunes are a much-loved meeting point for homosexuals. With disco-music and cocktails, the party feeling continues here the whole day long. Access: Reached by car, bicycle (be careful of the traffic!), or bus from Ibiza Town (10 km) or Playa d'en Bossa (6 km).

This 1.5 km long beach, named after the salt lakes in the south of Ibiza, the beach at Las Salinas is the southern most tip of the island. The very long, wide crescent of sandy beach is bordered by pines. Waters are crystal clear with super breakers that appear on windy days, perfect for body-surfing. Good for adventure walks as the surrounding terrain is Ibiza's Wildlife Conservation Area. During the summer months, Las Salinas is the 'in' beach not only for the wealthy and the beautiful people, but also for the party scene. The bikini fashions tend to reveal more than they cover-up, and the sun-worshippers here are more than a match for the Baywatch beauties! The rather exclusive bars play summer music throughout the day, and will serve you cocktails right to your sun bed, and the atmosphere and the beautiful beach more than make up for the generous prices. Towards the end of the bay, nudists, families, hippies and party kings and queens dance and chill-out to the groovy sounds all day long. Pure summer feeling....

This is an area suited for families, as well as people looking for tranquility. There are many restaurants and nighttime activity. Visitors can sunbathe on imported sand.

Access: Take the road to the airport and then make a left, following signs to Cala Rondal. The last stretch will be a dirt road. Visitors can also reach the beach from the road to Sant Josep de sa Talaia, following signs at km 7.

This magnificent 100 m long beach is ideal for those looking for tranquility, as well as open to some water activities. Its great panoramic views, its enclosed structure, and its sandy terrain guarantee a relaxing day at the beach.

Access: Before arriving to Cala Jondal, make a left and follow signs for the beach. It is also accessible from the road from Sant Jordi de ses Salines to es Cubells, taking the road on the left, just 2 kms before es Cubells, following the sign to Es Torrent. The last part of the way will be a steep, dirt road in poor condition.

There is a total of three pebbly beaches (120 m), separated by rocks so all in all the 'beachfront' covers nearly 400 metres. It is relatively quiet because of the lack of public, or easy, transport and there isn't much sand. Famous pop stars like Mike Oldfield and people from Oasis have been known to swap villas within eyeshot of this beach, but the sandy bit is attached to the 'Ses Boques' bar / restaurant which has a large unusual slab descending from its front door almost down to the sea, when it uniformally turns into the pebble shore so common along this southern coastline.

This 80 m long and 40 m wide beach is mainly visited by locals beach, providing a large variety of services.

Access: By car, bicycle, or even walking, since it is so close to Sant Antoni de Portmany. There is also a bus line.
